So first there was an online coding round where I had to solve 3 easy-medium problems in 1 hour. Then a technical round where I was asked 1 leetcode problem (easy-medium) and then questions about my previous projects and experiences, focusing on development skills. Lastly, a managerial round to check cultural fit based on my past experiences.

Coding Technical Behavioral

Had an online coding test on HackerRank, then an interview with the team. Although they mentioned having a global team, the team lead struggled with English, requiring a translator. I felt it wasn't a very technical interview, but their feedback stated I lacked technical detail, which felt odd given the questions asked.

I had a resume screen, then a golang assignment and then a java assignment. After that, there was a one hour interview where we talked about the design and improvements on the java assignment. The person interviewing me didn't seem to know Java well. Overall, it was easy for experienced web devs. My interview was scheduled within 10 days of submitting my Java test. The tests were good, but it makes you wonder if the effort is worth it if you don't get feedback after being rejected, especially if you know you got everything right.

Confirmed questions4 questions
  • Make corrections and write a wrapper over an existing golang package.
  • Implement a service with API/gRPC end points.
  • Discuss the design and improvements on the Java assignment.
