They started with a coding assignment. They did not give any feedback even after careful consideration of my skills and experience and how they fit with the team. I would advise being careful, as it seems like a waste of time interviewing with them if they don't provide feedback. Their interview process is not transparent or honest. Only interview if they promise feedback, otherwise, your efforts will be wasted.

First was a code assessment, completed over a week, that really depends on the candidate's experience to nail. Passing that led to an online video interview with two Android engineers. They asked about how I did the assessment and how I would improve it. The engineers and interpreter were polite, and it felt like a good chat. Next up was the manager interview, mainly behavioral questions, and this time there was no interpreter. After the manager interview, there was supposed to be another onsite interview. I didn't make it past the manager interview, and the feedback was they wanted Japanese speakers to simplify communication. They should have stated this upfront to save everyone time! After talking to others, the language issue didn't seem to be the real reason, so I'm unsure why they didn't provide genuine feedback.

It was a 3 stage interview process. First, there was a coding test with 3 medium-hard Leetcode problems. Then, an Android interview that lasted an hour. Lastly, an HR interview, also an hour long.
