First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Meneses Law.
Administrative Assistant
The interview process was straightforward but strange. The interviewers made faces at my answers and were unprofessional. They asked why I left all my previous jobs and why I studied what I did, and why I wanted to work at Meneses. When I answered, they annoyingly replied "we only hire people who want to work not people who are just looking for a job" while bobbling their heads. It felt weird and not like a law firm. They set up a computer and I interviewed via Teams. I left feeling confident I stood my ground but also defeated by the interaction. It felt like an interrogation where they might argue with me for being myself. Maybe their tone was defensive due to high turnover, and they weed out people with strong values. If you interview, be ready for combative and insecure questioning.

Recruiter
The interview process started with a surprise phone call, where they checked if I could speak Spanish for relevant roles. If that went well, the next step was an at-home personality test, the results of which I had to send myself. Then came the on-site interview, which was pretty chaotic and unstructured, depending on who was available. It felt more like an interrogation by someone quite hostile, who even cut off an ongoing interview. They questioned every single part of my resume, acting suspicious about my attempts to keep things confidential. They also brought up travel to other company offices at the end, even though it wasn't mentioned before. The work schedule is 8-5, Mon-Fri, with a half-hour lunch, plus two Saturdays a month from 9-3:30 with a half-hour lunch. This schedule includes unpaid overtime, and there's no flexibility. The salary offered was way below market rate.

Administrative Assistant/Office Manager
I was first reached out for a pre-screening call for the Orlando, FL office, and that conversation was really nice and positive. However, the main interview was quite the opposite. It was a virtual interview from a small office, and one of the interviewers, who seemed to be from HR, was disengaged and dismissive. Even though I answered everything well and explained my background, the vibe was unwelcoming. One person kept asking why I left my last job, even after I told them the company closed down. When they asked a third time, I explained it was because of contract issues and unpaid salary, which felt like a fair answer. The younger staff seemed unprofessional and confrontational, giving a bad impression. I think the interview process could be much better with more structure and respect. The HR Manager was the only one who was professional and seemed genuinely interested. They really need to rethink their interview approach and training because the goal should be to attract talent, not scare it away.

Network Engineer
It was a simple tech interview process that included an initial screening, a coding challenge, a technical interview with problem-solving questions, and a final interview to check cultural fit and how well we work in a team.
