The interview was done virtually. The first stage was with the lead, and the questions were mostly about my experiences. The second stage was with the GM and was more relaxed. No difficult questions were asked. The GM was mainly interested in why I was looking for a new job.

MEMC reached out to me on LinkedIn. After I sent my resume, we had a few email and phone exchanges. Then, I had a phone interview and was invited to their headquarters for an on-site interview. The on-site interview was rescheduled once. It involved a 1-hour presentation on a topic I chose, followed by 6 more 1:1 interviews. The interviews were pretty informal, and it felt like the interviewers weren't totally sure what they were looking for. The main questions were about my willingness to travel a lot. I don't think they were super interested after the interview.

They wanted to talk about my experience in semiconductor manufacturing. We discussed my role in watching reactor processes, fixing equipment problems, and keeping quality control for silicon wafer production. I talked about how I get hands-on to make sure things are efficient, work with different teams, and make processes better to meet standards.
