First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Meesho.
Recruiter
The interviewers at Meesho need to learn the basics of interviewing. The senior panel clearly lacks sensitivity towards the applicant; in the name of a stress interview, the panel uses very insulting tones and phrases. The panel seems to be in a hurry and doesn't give the interviewee a chance to explain. While it can be understood that there is a lot of pressure, that frustration clearly reflects in the approach of the interviewer. The tone and approach of the senior panel itself reflect the team culture, which is hostile, camouflaged as stress and fast-paced. The interview clearly showcases their obsession with Tier 1 colleges. In such cases, they should mandate the requirement with their consultants, which would save time on both sides. Meesho as an org for HR is not recommended as they have got their basics wrong right from the top itself.
- Can you describe the recruitment process?
Campus Recruiter
The whole interview process felt really disorganized. The worst part was in the final round, the senior leader hiring for the campus recruiter role asked me about my family size and what they do. After I told him, he asked more about my family. I lost all respect for a company like Meesho after that. It's not appropriate to ask personal or family questions in an interview, and companies should know how to conduct interviews properly. It made me realize I didn't want to work there. If a leader acts like that, you can only imagine the kind of company and team they lead.
- Can you tell me how many people are in your family and what their professions are?
- What do your family members do?
Talent Acquisition Coordinator
The interview process was smooth and in detail. There were three rounds in total. You should be able to justify the JD you're applying to and answer scenario-based and time management questions.
