It was a really smooth interview process. I had a couple of phone calls, and then two more rounds at their office in Bangalore. They seemed to really know what they were looking for and asked very direct questions. I liked that the CEO personally interviewed every candidate.

I interviewed with Meesho for the ACM role back in Feb 2020 and honestly, it was the worst and most unprofessional process ever. The first round was fine and I cleared it. Then, the next morning (Saturday), I got an assignment but with no deadline. I asked for one but got no reply. I worked on it over the weekend but didn't finish, thinking I'd discuss it face-to-face after a week like we talked about in the first round. But on Monday afternoon, they called asking for the assignment and said they needed it in 48 hours, which they should've mentioned earlier! I asked for a couple more days, and they agreed. After I submitted it, they called again saying they wanted an extra round based on my assignment with another interviewer. I prepared for it on a weekday, rescheduling my office meetings, but the interviewer never called at the scheduled time. After waiting half an hour, I messaged them. A couple of hours later, I got a call saying the interviewer's leave was extended suddenly, and they only found out recently. They even offered a screenshot of the conversation! Can you believe it? It's an interview, not a casual chat! They have zero respect for a candidate's time. Even after all this, I agreed to reschedule for the next week, and this time the interview happened. The next day, I got an email to do the SAME assignment again, word for word from the first email. I replied asking why, and they said to ignore it and they'd update me by EOD. I guess it was meant for someone else. It's been over a month and still no word on my candidature, selection or rejection. I followed up once, but no response. I usually don't review, but this whole Meesho experience was so unprofessional and disappointing, I had to share. They have zero respect for your time and their interview process is bizarrely unprofessional. It's not that hard to communicate efficiently or at least inform candidates about their status.

The HR person gave me a call first and asked about my current job and salary. She sent over the JD and mentioned a phone interview. Then, someone called for the telephonic round and asked for basic info about my current job and 2-3 real-time problems. I think my answers were pretty good. He said he was happy and would let HR know, and she'd get back to me. I waited 6 days with no word, so I called HR. She then told me the position wasn't open anymore. I really didn't expect this from a fast-growing startup co-founded by IIT alumni; their hiring process is pretty bad.
