First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Meesho.
Business Analyst
So it was an on campus hiring drive, first we had this online assessment, which had 7 SQL Questions and a few aptitude questions (MCQs) and the ones who got shortlisted for the technical interview were the ones who did 4+ SQL Questions correctly. The technical interview depends a lot on your interviewer - mostly SQL Based (Queries+Theory) and RCA. After this Round there was another Interview round where we were asked Guesstimates, RCA and Advanced Queries.
- What is the difference between UNION and UNION ALL?
- What's the difference between UNION and JOINs?
- If you had to find the top 3 products by category from the meesho products table, how would you write the query?
Business Analyst
The interview had 2 rounds. The first was a technical round focusing heavily on SQL, asking questions of a good level. Leetcode easy problems might be enough practice for it. The second round involved a Root Cause Analysis scenario related to E-commerce profits and revenue, which was easier than the first. The recruiter emphasized that strong SQL skills are crucial for this role.
- Could you tell me about your resume, including projects and internships?
- Can you answer questions about SQL joins?
- How would you apply CTE logic?
Lead Business Analyst
I interviewed for the Lead Business Analyst role. I got through all 3 rounds and the hiring manager gave positive feedback, saying HR would move my profile forward. Then, after following up, I heard the feedback wasn't positive from the final round. I don't get what they're looking for. This is the second time in 5 months I've been left hanging after clearing all rounds. The process was: R1 was technical with SQL and case studies in an hour. R2 was problem-solving with a case on real business problems Meesho is working on. R3 was with the hiring manager, a deep dive case on Meesho's real business problems. I'm disappointed because it seemed to go well and I got positive feedback, yet I was rejected twice. I'd advise looking elsewhere rather than wasting time interviewing with Meesho. Hope this helps.
