Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at MedStar Health.
Administrative
I heard back a few weeks after applying, which was great. The phone screening was really good, we talked about my resume and past accomplishments. I'm scheduled to meet with some upper management folks soon. I'd definitely suggest applying here; the HR team was super responsive.
- How would your former colleagues describe you?
- What are your methods for staying organized?
Executive Assistant
It takes a long time to get an interview.
- What is the salary and raise structure?
- Tell me about the salary and raise process.
Secretary
HR Assistant called to set up the interview. Then I went to the facility for an in-person interview with a panel of staff. They didn't have me tour the facility. The testing for Word, Excel, and Secretary Skills was at a separate site. The testing in the HR office was on an old computer with a chair that couldn't be adjusted, in an open office with distractions. They said I'd be notified by mail.
- What would you do if you had to break a rule because it didn't seem right?
