It was an okay interview, the process was a bit slow. It's usually more about checking if you're a good fit for the culture than a deep dive into your qualifications. They focus on examples of your previous work to show your strengths. The interview with the hiring manager is usually the most important one.

The hiring process was quite extensive. It started with HR, then the department's point of contact, followed by interviews with colleagues and finally senior management. They were very thorough. A background check was also conducted. The entire process spanned about two months. HR extended a formal offer, after which the manager reached out.

The interview process for this Director role was quite drawn out and honestly left me with a poor impression. It started with an initial interview where I met with the hiring manager and two associates. I felt really good after that meeting and was quite enthusiastic about the opportunity. However, it took about two months to hear back, and I figured someone else got the job. To my surprise, I was invited for a second interview with the hiring manager's boss. Unfortunately, this interviewer was 25 minutes late without any apology, and her demeanor was quite cold and discouraging. Even though the hiring manager had been really nice and encouraging, meeting with her boss made me feel like the company culture was unwelcoming and overly rigid, not to mention concerns about work-life balance. I thought my hospital background would be a valuable asset, offering unique insights, but she pretty much told me that people from hospital backgrounds don't typically succeed in the corporate environment. This significantly dampened my interest. Then, months passed again before any further communication. Another candidate was hired, and I wish them well. I definitely won't be applying for another MedStar corporate position. It was an experience, but not a positive one.
