First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at MedPro Group.
Customer Service Specialist
I had 3 interviews spread out over 3 days. The first two were with people on my potential team, and the last one was with someone from corporate. They really care about giving great customer support, so they want to see if you can handle all sorts of customer personalities smoothly and effectively, and they want examples! They also asked about my view on healthcare providers and if I'm open to learning. Plus, they're big on keeping a good vibe at the company, so have examples ready for that too.
- What kind of customer do you least want to speak with?
- Tell me about a time you had to deal with a difficult customer.
- How do you feel about working with healthcare providers?
Paralegal
I applied directly and they reached out via email. I requested a 5:30pm interview time due to my full-time job, which they initially agreed to. I then met with two groups, totaling one paralegal and four attorneys, for an hour. After more than a week without hearing back, they called on a Friday evening to schedule a second interview with the executive team, which they said would take two hours. HR suggested 10am, but I asked if a 5:30pm time, similar to our previous arrangement, would be possible to minimize time off work. HR was unsure but promised to check and respond by Monday afternoon. No response came, so I emailed HR on Monday evening to follow up on our conversation and ask for an update, maintaining a polite and professional tone. MedPro never responded, leading me to believe they operate very slowly and that my request for scheduling flexibility was ignored. I found it difficult to take three hours out of my workday for an interview, and the lack of accommodation, beyond the proposed 10am slot, was disappointing, especially compared to other companies that were flexible with my schedule.
- What are your strategies for staying organized?
- Describe a time you significantly changed or improved a system or task. What was the initial situation, and what improvements did you make?
- Given that we do not have an administrative assistant, would you be comfortable handling tasks such as making copies and other administrative duties yourself?
Client Service Representative
After getting a referral, I submitted my resume and got a call a week later about an interview for a Lead Client Service Representative role. The first interview was with two executives who seemed really enthusiastic about the company and the job. I felt good about it afterward. The second interview involved two current employees, one who had held the position before and another who was currently in it. They gave me a realistic look at the day-to-day duties. I was then invited for a final interview with the CEO and another executive, but I decided not to go because, after the second interview, I realized the position wasn't what I was looking for. The overall work environment seemed great, and the interviewers were all excellent, but the role itself wasn't a good fit for me.
- What would your direct reports say about you?
Associate Underwriter
I had a Zoom interview with someone who I think was a director, though she didn't state her title. She seemed to think it went well and wanted me to advance. She said HR would call me, but instead, a recruiter emailed. I responded quickly with my availability, but got no reply. I emailed again the day before my requested time, and finally got a response suggesting a different time the next day. That call went okay, and she expressed happiness that I was still interested. She mentioned three more interviews and said she'd provide more information that day or early the next week. Despite the company sounding amazing and me being excited as a recent grad with a master's, I heard nothing. I emailed with no response. I waited two days and emailed the original interviewer, who had told me to reach out, but again, no reply. Three days later, an email stated they weren't interested. I'm disappointed by the lack of transparency from a company that claims good values, especially when they lead candidates to believe they are still in consideration.
