First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at MedMen.
Pharmacist
It was a low stress interview process. They asked standard questions about why I wanted to work there, my career background, strengths and weaknesses, and my availability. They also asked situational questions about how I handled a conflict with a supervisor.
- Can you tell me about your career background?
Cooperations Manager
It felt more like a field survey than an interview. I had a phone call with the General Manager, followed by a call with the District Manager a few days later. The District Manager then asked me to check out the dispensary anonymously and report my thoughts. The GM called me again afterwards, inquired about my conversation with the DM, and invited me for an in-person interview. After the interview, I waited a week without hearing back. I sent a follow-up email, and they responded a week later citing busyness and a need for more time. I haven't heard from them since.
- What makes you want to work here?
- Tell me about your motivation for joining our company.
- Why are you interested in this particular company?
Business Intelligence Analyst
I applied online and a recruiter contacted me about an HR phone interview. I gave them my availability, but they scheduled it on a holiday anyway, so I missed it. They were nice enough to reschedule for the next day. The interview was really short. She asked why I wanted to do data analysis and if I was cool with working in cannabis. She also asked why I was leaving my current job. All standard stuff. After that, I got a case study. They gave me mock sales and marketing data and asked me to find specific insights. I had to make a PowerPoint presentation of these insights. I had 3 business days to do it, but since I had a full-time job, I couldn't finish it on time. That's where it ended for me.
- Can you suggest areas where marketing expenses could be reduced?
Software Developer
It was a pretty straightforward coding problem, with questions about web technologies and development in general. They said it was cool to admit if I didn't know something. Also had some behavioral stuff and one question that made me think differently.
- Fizz buzz
- Can you solve the Fizz Buzz problem?
- What are your thoughts on specific web technologies?
