First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Medisca.
Outside Sales Representative
The interview process had a few steps. First, I had a phone interview, which was pretty standard. We talked about why I like sales, why I'm interested in Medisca, and what appeals to me about the company. Then, I was invited to a second interview via Skype. The interviewers were 20 minutes late and didn't apologize. Also, the recruiters were dressed casually. They started by quickly looking at my resume and asked about my previous jobs, what I enjoyed, and what I didn't like about them. Then they asked about what makes a good salesperson, what I would do if I didn't meet a sales goal and how I would achieve it, my expected salary, and if I could define compounding. They also asked about my networking experience. The interview wrapped up after 30 minutes. Usually, the next step is an interview with the Sales Manager, but I wasn't asked to proceed, which was a relief.
- What is your expected salary?
- How would you handle a situation in which you are given a goal you did not achieve?
Outside Sales Representative
After submitting my application for Medisca, I got a call for a phone screening. Then, there were three more interviews. The whole process was challenging, but everyone was professional, polite, and fair from the start. I interviewed with the HR manager, Recruiting manager, National Sales Manager, and the VP of sales. They were all helpful, on time, and clear. The company culture seemed very team-focused, professional, and inspiring, like a great place to work. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'd definitely recommend Medisca because they were very professional, respectful, and supportive.
- In your view, what would be the most difficult part of this job if you were hired?
Inside Sales Representative
The interview/hiring process is quite lengthy and very thorough, this shows how they value their employees and really try to find the best fit for the company and the position. There is an initial phone interview with HR and then a meeting with them if all goes well. This interview is quite detailed and they really get a gist of your background and what you hope to accomplish working for them. Moving onto the next round means you get to meet some of the managers. I found this interview to be more relaxed in the sense they really want to get to know you and see how you will fit with the team and where you would thrive more. It was less formal than the first meet and greet Q&A with HR. Then comes the waiting part where a psychological personnel test is done online and your references are checked. HR did a fine job of keeping me posted with my status on a weekly basis and everyone was great throughout the process even if it took almost 6 weeks to get an answer. They really weigh the pros and cons of each candidate I guess and see who would fit in best with the team and what they can offer. They seem to be a dynamic team and a great company overall, with lots to offer their employees.
- What makes you a better candidate than someone with 10 years of sales experience?
