I was contacted by the recruiter online to start, then had a phone screen which was fine. Then a hiring manager screen, which was great. Finally, an onsite panel with different team members. The recruiter tried to lowball me in the debrief, saying 'x is the salary you're looking for?', which was way off from my range. They also scheduled 3 hours of back-to-back interviews that ran through lunch without a break, which felt disrespectful. I had a bad feeling and am glad I didn't get the offer.

Applied through an employee referral and the whole process took more than a month. About two weeks post-application, an HR coordinator reached out. We set up a phone interview with HR, but she didn't show up. I emailed to follow up and managed to reschedule. Two weeks after that initial HR pre-screening, I had an interview with the hiring manager on Google Hangouts. She discussed my background, her vision for the lead UX designer position, and outlined the in-person interview stages. I sent a thank-you email afterward and didn't hear back. I'm giving this a negative rating because the process dragged on too long.

So after I applied online, I got a call and had a quick chat with HR, which was less than 15 minutes. Then I had a second interview with the hiring manager, which was about 30 minutes, and I didn't do a portfolio presentation for that one.
