Technical Support Engineer
recruiter reached out to me online and said my profile seemed to fit their needs. They sent me an SQL test. Then, I had an interview with the hiring manager, which was alright. After a week, I followed up for an update, and they told me I wasn't what they were looking for. A week later, they contacted me again and wanted me to do some complex SQL. I spent time on that, and they said they wanted to do peer interviews with three team members, one-on-one. They ghosted me again for a week. When I tried to reach them, their reply was surprising: they said the team liked me but wanted to change the job requirements, and then said I wasn't selected. A week after that, I saw the exact same job description posted on LinkedIn.
- Could you answer some basic behavioral questions?
- Can you complete this SQL test?
- How would you approach this complex SQL problem?
Technical Support Engineer
Applied through referral and a recruiter got in touch. First, they sent a simple SQL test. Then, there was a 30 min screening with the hiring manager. After that, I had another 90 min SQL test with an engineer where I had to write SQL queries and a stored procedure. Once I passed those SQL tests, there were 4 rounds of 30 min interviews with engineers and a director. We talked about my past experience and resume projects, and they asked some technical and behavioral questions. I cleared all rounds and it was a positive experience. The team seemed to like me and asked about salary expectations. The recruiter was pretty sure about extending an offer, but then they just ghosted me. No offer, no explanation. The whole thing took about 2 months.

- Can you write SQL queries?
- Can you write a stored procedure?
Technical Support Engineer
I had an SQL test and then a few rounds of behavioral interviews. The SQL part was pretty easy, and you'll be fine if you know the basics of databases. Everyone was really nice, and the work involved different tasks throughout the process.
- Tell me about yourself and your experience.
- Describe a time you dealt with a difficult customer.
- How would you handle a situation where you don't know the answer to a customer's question?
