I went to the hiring event in May and it was great. Everything was organized well, the hiring managers were nice and welcoming. My interview felt like a normal chat.

Checked in at a table and went up myself about 5 minutes before the interview time. Each room/area was like a hospital, with multiple tables in the room representing each unit. I was interviewed by one person, but there were multiple people sitting at the table. It was a lot of commotion and loud. Everyone except the interviewer (in my experience) was doing something else on their computer, on their phone, getting up and talking to other tables. After the "interview", I was taken by a Guide to a separate room to wait with everyone else from all the other rooms/tables to hear if they wanted to extend an offer or not. I waited about 15-20 minutes. They told me it wasn't a "yes or no" and they still had pending offers from the prior week's hiring event. They said the original recruiter would email me within 5 days to let me know. 7-8 days later I was emailed an automated rejection email and that was it. Overall, I think "hiring on the spot" is chaotic. Essentially if that unit already offered all their spots away in the morning interviews, then you're already screwed if your interview is in the afternoon. It's pointless and makes ZERO sense.

First, I had a call with HR. Then, I met the unit manager. After that, there was a preceptorship program for about 10 weeks until I felt good taking care of critically ill patients.
