I had an initial chat with the recruiter, followed by a technical phone call with the VP. After that, there were five rounds of technical interviews. One of these involved solving a problem on paper. Everyone I met was friendly and receptive to my ideas. A specific round focused on design patterns.

A recruiter from MediaMatch reached out to me on LinkedIn, and we promptly set up a phone interview with a team lead. This initial call was fairly standard, perhaps a bit less focused on deep technology than what I've encountered at other tech companies. Following that, I had an in-person interview shortly thereafter. I generally enjoyed the experience and had some great discussions with the interviewers. The in-person portion involved meeting with four different interviewers and the internal recruiter, lasting about three hours. Everyone was very courteous and ensured I was comfortable and had enough to drink. However, after this, I received no communication from the company. No confirmation of acceptance or rejection. No feedback, not even a polite 'no thank you.' This silence persisted even after I emailed to inquire about the status of my application. While I understand that delivering bad news can be uncomfortable, it's baffling. Given the volume of applicants, they must have considerable experience in rejecting candidates, so surely they've practiced delivering that message. In my opinion, failing to inform candidates who have invested hours in speaking with you about your hiring decision is extremely discourteous and unprofessional. A company's reputation is at stake.

I first spoke with HR at the campus career fair and was asked to send them my resume. About two weeks later, I got a call from HR for some basic resume questions and then scheduled a phone interview. The phone interview had some technical questions that weren't too difficult, but I didn't prepare well, so I struggled with them. A week later, I got an email saying they weren't extending an offer.
