The hiring manager, who was outsourced, seemed unprepared and joined the call late. They also had trouble hearing me due to their room setup. Despite this, I enjoyed the questions asked, which focused on my past work in donor engagement and financial planning.

It was a smooth, straightforward process. First, I met with my supervisor, who asked me questions about my skills. Then, I had a meeting with the head of my department, who seemed to be assessing my fit for the role. Finally, I met with the company president to evaluate cultural fit.

I was given a writing test. Basically, read the articles on Newsbusters for the section that you're most interested in/applying for. You might think that the whole website has the same tone, but certain sections differ slightly, so it's worth reading carefully and reading multiple articles to get a feel for the style of writing that they're looking for. Other than that, the interview itself is fairly straightforward. They're looking for actual conservatives, so keep that in mind.
