Strategist
I had 4 interviews in a row that lasted 2 hours. They were all nice and great to talk to. I felt that I got along well and built up a good rapport with the first 3 interviewers. It was a long process and adding on other factors of my day, I was worn out by the last interview. The last interview was with the highest position relative to the other 3. I didn't perform as well and I immediately felt that I ran myself out of the runnings. While it's my fault for not getting the position, they could've at least had the courtesy to tell me I was not given the job. They replied to the thank you emails but couldn't tell me I wasn't getting an offer despite follow up emails.
- Tell me about all the straightforward questions you were asked.
Strategist
I reached out via email to HR and set up my interview. I came in on a Monday around 12:30. TMK really values your character and if you enjoy people and teamwork, this is the place for you. It felt more like a chat and I relaxed quickly. I met with an Associate Director for about 20 mins, then a Group Director for about 10 mins. I was done by 1pm and got a call that night at 7pm with an offer.
- What draws you to the media industry?
Strategist, Programmatic
I spoke with two people from one account (an Associate Director and a Strategist), then right after, an Associate Director from another account, and finally a third Senior Strategist from yet another account.
- What's your understanding of search marketing?
Media Strategist
Since this is an entry level role, the process is pretty straightforward. They'll probably ask about any prior advertising work you've done. You'll also likely meet with different team members, both those you'd work with directly and your managers. Bring a few extra copies of your resume.
- Can you explain your interest in this role?
- Could you describe the function of an agency within the advertising landscape?
