First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at MEDHOST.
Software Developer
So first, I had a phone interview where they asked about my background and experience, checking if it matched what I said and the job description. This was for a Medhost role even though I applied to Harris Computers. Then, I had a second interview with five people from the company. They asked about RPG, SQL, and other technical stuff related to the job. A bit of a downside was that I didn't get much feedback during the interview, so I wasn't sure if they understood my answers.
- Can you tell me about your knowledge of RPG programming and if you've used it before?
- Can you answer some basic questions about SQL?
Customer Support Analyst
I applied and a few days later they reached out for an interview. Went through two behavioral interviews with normal questions with outgoing interviewers. They give me a call afterward saying they really like me but the position I applied for CustomerSupport Analyst tier I which would pay me $50k was not ready yet because one of the other candidates could not be interviewed at the time. Kinda weird but okay... they told me I could wait a few weeks and be in the running for this position or immediately take a $40k position. I thought it over and accepted. They said they would send me an offer letter but I waited all day and nothing. Than they said the interviewer manager would like to talk to me to welcome me to the company beforehand which was very annoying because it sounded like another interview which they assure me it was not and right after the call I would get the offer letter. I took the call and he interview me...... He asks the exact same questions the previous people ask me and everything seems good. When the call came to an end though he said he would talk it over quickly and reach back out to me before the day ended. The offer letter never came and the next day their hr person said they already had another person take the job. A completely unprofessional way of handling things and more importantly a waste of time since it appear I never was going to get either position yet they made me interview three times.
- Why do you think we should hire you?
Technical Support Analyst
I applied online and got a response in 10 days for an interview. The interview was supposed to start an hour ago, and they are late with no apology. The interview went okay, and they asked me role-related scenario questions. I was told I would hear back about a second interview with the manager by Wednesday. I sent a thank you email that was ignored, and then followed up 6 days later. I had to CC the manager to get a response, and they told me the role was filled. It was unprofessional and a waste of time.
- If a customer had a bad experience with you, what would they have said?
QA Analyst
HR gave me a call to screen me, then I had a phone interview with the QA manager. We mostly talked about my past projects and if my tech skills matched theirs. After that, I had a face-to-face meeting with the manager again and the VP. I also chatted with the architect and a DB developer. They gave me an offer on the same day.
- Can you describe some business case testing scenarios?
- What business case testing scenarios were asked?
