We kicked things off with a quick phone call to see if you were a good fit for the basics. Then, there was a second interview online where I chatted with the HR manager and someone who used to do this job. It wasn't very technical, mostly just behavioral questions. The third part would have been with the hiring manager.

First interview by phone with the supervisor. Positive impression of the process. The surroundings were rather negative: about 1 month after applying, then only one date (no options, no range) was given. Following that (after 2 weeks...) an invitation by email for a personal interview in Baar, again only 1 date. After my reply with 3 alternative dates, no feedback for 2 weeks, then rejection because the strategy and accordingly the profile have changed. The mentioned strategic change makes sense (more B2C than Medtech focus), I'm just surprised that Medela didn't come up with this more than 5 years ago. Overall, I did not feel treated with respect as an applicant (exception supervisor), and as a manager, the strategy and leadership behavior (incl. empowerment) did not leave a good impression. Good luck in the future!

I was contacted by Medela for an international Sales development role. I didn't proceed due to travel requirements, but the process was very pleasant. First, I had a 1-on-1 web meeting with Susan Harris, their Director of Market & Channel Strategy (based in Singapore). She discussed the role, expectations, and also got to know me and my career goals. Then, I spoke with Diana Krnja, their Head of Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding. She was very helpful and suggested we keep in touch for future openings. The company seems to be undergoing positive changes, with a new CEO in 2018 and new management teams in place.

The interview process started with HR for a quick phone screen. Following that, there was a longer phone interview. After that, I interviewed in my city with the area manager. Finally, I was flown to corporate for a full day of interviews. At corporate, I met with HR and the sales director. The process was lengthy but overall a good experience, not intimidating at all. They were very accommodating, providing a ticket and car service, and everything flowed very smoothly.
