The interview process was very professional and thorough. I was tested on my technical expertise and presentation skills. I was also given a task related to the technology used, and I had to submit a report and a presentation on it.

You'll start with a FISDAP exam, either online or in person, taken within the last 6 months. Passing this is mandatory to proceed. Then, there's a physical exam with about 10 stations, including a 2-minute CPR cycle. Make sure to bring a change of clothes and shoes for this. The medical station isn't scenario-based but will test your knowledge beyond just the basics. You'll also face a trauma skills station where you need to perform all actions unless told to stop, with two assistants present. Finally, there's a 30-minute interview where they have a set list of questions to cover. It's important to answer concisely to get through them all.

I went to a hiring event that had a basic physical test, an oral test about medical knowledge, a formal job interview, an emergency scenario (like a trauma injury or medical emergency), and a multiple choice test. The interview wasn't too hard, and neither was the physical test or the oral medical test. The multiple choice test, though, was pretty tough. Medic holds these hiring events a few times a year. There were about 30 people at my event (both paramedics and EMTs) and only about 10% did well enough to move on. The next step is the academy, which happens 2-4 times a year and lasts about 6 weeks with coursework and tests where you could get fired if you don't pass.

You gotta pass the FISDAP Written Exam first. Then it's a Panel Interview, a Medical Interview, a Trauma Assessment, and a Physical Agility Test, all on the same day at the Assessment Center. They might take up to two weeks to give you a Job Offer, but it's usually faster. They have a new Academy class every three months.
