RBT
the person that interviewed me was nice and made me feel welcomed. at first I was nervous but as the conversation started I felt more comfortable. I got an offer within a couple days it wasn't on the spot.
- Have you worked in ABA previously, and if so, for what duration?
RBT
it was an easy recruiter call where they read questions off a screen. They asked about my qualifications and my address to calculate commute distance. It seemed like a very low-stakes process. They also asked if I had experience with kids and ABA.
- What are your qualifications?
- Could you provide your address?
- Do you have experience working with children?
Registered Behavior Technician
I applied on Indeed and answered a few questions as well as submit my resume. I got invited to schedule a Google Meet interview. Pretty basic and easy because my interviewer just asked about my experience with autistic children which I have experience with. Got a job offer for min wage, and you must be available 12 hrs a day in case they have an appointment for you (meaning you get low pay and you cannot have another job).
- Would you be alright with starting with 10 hours per week?
Scheduler
I had a virtual screening interview with a recruiter. They seemed annoyed and unwelcoming from the start. They asked what I know about their scheduling software, lunch/break labor laws, and overtime laws in my state, but didn't ask about my background. When I asked about benefits, they made a face and said I was wrong even though I had the information up. They were unhelpful in explaining the discrepancy. I was disappointed because I liked that the company was ethical, but I felt disrespected.
- Can you tell me about California overtime laws?
