Customer Service Representative
I had a conversation with a representative who asked me some questions to understand my background and assess my suitability for the role. He was pleasant and addressed all of my inquiries.
- Have you got any prior experience working in a remote call center environment?
Communications Specialist
It was a pretty straightforward interview process. They're looking for people with fundraising and/or telemarketing experience to work from home. They had me read a script out loud to check my reading skills. The questions were mostly about my past experiences and my future goals. I liked my interview and took the job.
- Do you have prior experience in telemarketing or fundraising?
Account Coordinator
The interview process started out with a short phone interview, then a 3:1 in person interview. After that, there was a personality and Excel test and another in person interview, which was originally called 'meeting the team'. The last interview had 7 people, and it wasn't really meeting the team, but more like being asked a bunch of questions they found on Google that weren't related to the position at all. Most questions were repeated once or twice during that last interview, which made me think they either didn't listen to their colleagues or didn't understand the questions themselves, so they asked them again differently. That last interview was really irritating, and I'm glad I didn't end up at this company. Even ignoring the interview experience, the low pay and terrible benefits would have been enough to turn down an offer anyway. It's funny because after over two months, they still hadn't filled the position. No shocker there.
- Are you familiar with using Microsoft Outlook?
- Do you engage in reading?
- Could you describe your preferred management style?
Telemarketer
There was some telemarketing role play, where the head of HR was the person we were supposed to call. She put up resistance, and we had to overcome objections using the provided strategies.
- Do you have any familiarity with clients like the Salvation Army?
- Are you comfortable asking for donations?
