Resident Assistant
It was a 45-minute interview with the Res life coordinator and a senior RA. We started with a general introduction, then they asked a situation-based question, and finally, a question about diversity.
- How would you manage your responsibilities as a student alongside your role as an RA?
- Describe a challenging situation you encountered and how you addressed it.
- What is your perspective on diversity?
Senior Software Engineer
Applied via email, had a phone call interview, then moved to the second round which involved visiting the facilities. Surprisingly, this turned into a presentation for at least 12 people, likely due to the senior nature of the role. The person who conducted this is no longer with the company.
- You were required to present to 12 people for at least 20 minutes, and this was not anticipated.
Assistant Professor
The hiring process was very organized and overseen by HR, who made sure it was fair. The HR team used set rules and standard ways to judge candidates' skills and qualifications. This helped avoid personal opinions affecting decisions about who was right for the job. Overall, it was a good, clear, and quick process for picking the best people.
- How do you meet the requirements for this role, and what is your experience with both online and on-campus teaching?
- Can you describe your experience with online teaching?
- Can you describe your experience with on-campus teaching?
Research Assistant
I got this opportunity with a reference when I was still a student. So it was super easy to get in. My advice is to connect with someone who works there and get them to refer you.
