First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mckinley Childrens Center.
Accountant
It's a group interview with your potential boss, controller, and HR. If you read the job posting, that is what they ask about. Also, knowing their Mission statement about being the Best Human is an excellent thing to bring into the interview.
- Tell me about accounting cycles.
- What do you know about the mission statement of being the Best Human?
- Can you speak to the company's mission statement?
Outpatient Clinician
The interview process was straightforward. It started with a phone screening, followed by an in-person interview with the supervisor of the position and the director of the department. It seemed like the department head had already decided about me before I even arrived. They barely asked anything about my background or professional skills, and didn't ask if I had any questions at the end.
- Can you describe your mandate?
Clinical Supervisor
Right after I applied, a recruiter contacted me about an interview. It was set up in under 10 days. The interview was a zoom call with the VP and another supervisor. It was a really positive vibe, everyone was friendly and respectful. I got the offer within 3 days.
- Could you tell us about your leadership style?
- How do you approach working within a multidisciplinary team?
- What's your process for treatment planning?
Treatment Counselor
I spoke with someone from the STRTP Department. They asked me about my experience with children, particularly those who have experienced trauma. I got an offer about a week later. Then came the fingerprinting, transcript submission, and drug test, which took about 1-2 weeks. After that, I got my training and was all set to start working.
- What's your experience with kids, especially traumatized youth?
- How would you approach a given scenario?
