First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at McIlveen Family Law Firm.
Attorney
I had two interviews, starting with a phone call, then an in-person meeting with the managing partner where we talked about the job, family law, and my background.
- What are your qualifications and why are you interested in family law?
Attorney
The interview process was pretty interesting. First, you had to do this standardized test, kinda like an IQ test, which was fun. Then, you had to send in a video of yourself for review, with instructions that were clear enough but still let you be creative. The in-person interview was nice; they didn't ask any inappropriate questions like some places do. It was formal but friendly. After that, they took me to lunch with some employees, which gave me a good sense of the firm culture. Overall, I really enjoyed the whole thing.
- Would you describe yourself as someone who strictly follows rules?
- Reflecting on your previous role, what actions might you have taken differently?
- What are your preferred leisure activities?
Front Desk Receptionist
I got a call first, and after answering some basic personality questions, I was offered an interview, either on Skype or in person. The interviewer was really genuine, and I felt comfortable the whole time.
- Considering this role is quite different from your past work, what makes you confident you can perform it effectively?
