They were very nice, asked me a lot about my past internship. Just wanted to know what I did in my internship, and anything I was involved with in school. It was more of a conversation than an interview.

Got the interview through a connection in my professional organization in college (SWE). They asked standard experience/qualification based questions along with more open-ended questions like "Why do you want to be an engineer"? They took me on a tour of their office and introduced me to the members of their team. The staff seemed friendly, and the office is great looking in a great location.

Had a nice initial phone chat, then a longer meeting with the hiring manager about a week later. This was before corona so it was in the office. Went smoothly, and I got an offer letter within a week. They did the usual drug and background checks. When I started on day one, there was a lot of redundant paperwork. Overall, it felt like a pretty standard and impersonal hiring process, though it really depends on the hiring manager.

I had one interview, and there was very little communication beforehand. I left the interview feeling good about it, but I never heard anything back, not even a rejection. I drove an hour for the interview, and they hadn't even bothered to know my background or where I was coming from.
