Staff Engineer
The interview was good, I answered every question, interviewers were smart, but had to decline the offer because the HRs made a bad deal and refused to connect me to the hiring managers, they used a classic strategy i told a number 6x, they said they can only pay 5x and made me agree to 5.3x, I accepted the deal so that I can resign early and accepted a much better deal and rejected maxlinear, glassdoor says they well, but I am very disappointed
- Tell me about your projects in detail.
Staff Engineer
The interview process involved a technical screen focusing on analog circuit design concepts. Specifically, the discussion covered stability analysis of LDOs with common mode feedback, compensation techniques like Miller and Cascode, small-signal analysis of amplifiers, output impedance in feedback systems, and transient analysis of LC circuits considering initial conditions.
- Could you discuss the stability of LDOs with common mode feedback?
- Explain Miller and Cascode Compensation techniques.
- How would you perform a small-signal analysis of feedback amplifiers?
Staff Engineer
The process started with a technical test focusing on DSP fundamentals, Detection theory, and Probability. After that, there was a technical round where they first asked about the test performance and then some questions directly from the test. They also asked about DSP concepts like Filter design, DFT, Pole-zero plot, Sampling theorem, and the effect of aliasing. The interview felt easy, mainly testing fundamental knowledge. The panel was helpful and friendly, making it a good experience overall.
- Could you describe the pole zero plot for a notch filter response?
- What is the relationship between sampling and aliasing?
- Can you explain the detection problem using the LOG Likelihood ratio?
