& Process

We had 4 meetings to get hired. First, one with HR, then the head coach, then the head of operations, and finally the founder.

The process was very aggressive. I got messages saying "don't waste our time" before the interview. Then the interviewer was late, had no energy, and was rude. My gut told me to run! The job description also seemed misleading given what they told me about the role during the interview.

They hit me up on Indeed, and we had a quick Zoom call to go over the job and ask some basic questions. Then they invited me to their office for an interview. It was kinda weird because they reached out asking me to apply, then immediately marked me as 'Not Interested' on my application, but still told me to watch a video and schedule the Zoom interview. When I got to the office, I had to check in right when I got off the elevator and they gave me a badge with my name on it and offered water. They then gave me a walkthrough of the office. They have a dress code, which is red and white. If you don't have red or white, they show you a closet where you can 'rent' something for the day. Then you go to the second part of their office and sit in the back corner to listen to the CEO speak. This is where you quickly figure out if the job is for you or not. The CEO comes off as a bit arrogant and conceited. He was dressed in red fur and slides with no socks, which I didn't find very professional. On the flip side, he has a really good vision for the company's future. During the process, he lets you know that you'll hear back within a day or two, or the upcoming week max, whether they're offering you the position or not, so you're not left wondering. He talks to the group and then splits everyone into groups of 6 for 2-minute interviews in separate offices with his team members. You're also told to stick around after the interview if you're interested to speak with Rudy. The interviews are pretty basic and easy questions, but you only get about 1-2 questions answered before time's up and you rotate to the next room. After my interview, I was going to sit down and talk to Rudy since my position was directly related to helping him, to get a better feel for the job. Me and about 3 other people were pulled aside by some girl with long blonde hair and asked/told, 'Are you finished? Ok, go home. We will be in contact with you.' Which I found kind of weird considering the CEO directly asked you to stay in the beginning. I leave with the other 3, and we all agreed in the elevator that the environment is a bit weird. I'm all for fun, laid-back jobs, but this is just... weird. Anyway, I wait to see if I get offered the position and hear nothing. I tried reaching out to the company multiple times to check but got no response via email or phone. Again, this goes against what Rudy said about not wanting to leave people in the dark. It seems a bit unstructured and unprofessional.

It was a 2-round process. The first round involved basic questions about the platform and our fit. The second round had a coding challenge and 3 video interviews. I passed both coding questions but was ultimately rejected without explanation.
