The interview process is a long one, but well worth it. It started with a phone interview where I learned a lot more about the company, expectations and culture. It is apparent from the start that the people here love what they do, but what they do requires a lot of you. You need to have a lot of knowledge and motivation to have successes at Mavens, but it is well worth it. After they go over what is expected of you they have you go over materials for the 2nd interview, which is a presentation. Before that I was able to go into the office and meet more of the people there to get a better understanding of the atmosphere and culture. For the presentation you will put together a salesforce application for a fake company. There is a lot that goes into the interview process, but it is well worth the effort for a company like Mavens.

I applied online to a job description that caught my eye because it highlighted the company culture. It turned out the role was quite junior and needed very specific Salesforce skills, which was my mistake. I noticed the job description was revised shortly after to be much more specific. The team required candidates to train in a specific system/capability and then do a "try-out." This seems like a normal practice in software, but other reviews suggest it's a bit of a hazing ritual. I spoke with a team member from the Boston office and really enjoyed the chat. At a minimum, we expanded our professional networks.

I learned about Mavens through a former colleague. We were in touch via email for a few months while I was seeking Salesforce consulting roles. They contacted me as soon as they had an opening for another person. The hiring process moved very quickly and was straightforward, especially since I had another time-sensitive job offer. I enjoyed my conversations with everyone on the team; they were welcoming and engaging, making me feel like I wanted to join them.
