Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Maven Clinic.
Senior Manager
Had seven interviews in total with team members and stakeholders. Two of the interviews were live technical assessments. Each interview focused on a different area, and the recruiter did a good job prepping me for each one. However, there were a few issues. I didn't have much time to ask my own questions in most calls. The hiring manager didn't directly answer my questions, which were mainly about strategy and leadership, and then ended the interview really rudely and abruptly. Based on this and other reviews, it wasn't a great experience.
- Can you share an instance where you had to mediate a conflict between your team members?
CRM Manager
It was pretty straightforward. I heard back from the recruiter when they needed to, and I felt like I knew what was going to happen next and why I wasn't selected to move forward. They asked good questions. The process seemed to take a while, but I heard back right after I applied.
- Did you use the STAR method in your past experiences?
Manager
The team was nice but they really need to work on their follow up. The interview was just okay, I met with a Manager, then a director, then a group of directors and managers from the advocacy team. The last interview was with the head of people. It felt like a lot for them to decide to go with someone else. My advice for the company is to be upfront about the salary range and let the candidate know about the decision much sooner. It was a disappointing experience overall, I had to chase the recruiter twice to get an update after being in the interview process for almost 5 weeks.
- Tell me about your approach to managing staff communication challenges.
- Describe how you handle scheduling issues with your staff.
- How do you approach dealing with upset clients as a manager?
