Product Manager
This interview process was pretty different from the usual behavioral or PM-focused interviews. The general questions weren't really about TMAY or past experiences. They were mostly "yes/no" questions, which made it tough to figure out what the interviewer was looking for. Also, the PM-specific questions weren't about experience or how I'd handle situations. The interviewer just focused on specific software tools I'd used, like "Have you used SAP and Outlook?". Honestly, I think those tools can be picked up quickly and don't really show how well someone performs as a PM.
- Have you used SAP and Oracle?
- Have you used SAP and Outlook?
Business Analyst
It was a 3 round interview process. First was a recruiter call, then a hiring manager call, and the final round was with the director and the team. The difficulty level was medium. It was conversational and conducted over video. Most of the questions were related to previous experiences and business scenarios.
- Can you tell me about your previous business experience?
- What experience do you have with BI tools?
- What experience do you have with ERP systems?
Office Staff
Matthews has a super fast interview process! Compared to other places I applied, they moved me through really quickly. I talked to just the right amount of people, and they always let me know what was going on. It was the best interview experience I had, and it felt good to have such a positive time going through it.
- Can you tell me about some constructive feedback your manager gave you on a performance review?
Engineer
I applied and a recruiter hit me back a few weeks later to set up a phone interview. We scheduled it, but then they emailed me 5 minutes before it was supposed to start to reschedule. We did that, and the call happened at the new time. They didn't even talk about the job, just asked about my job search, how it was going, if I had other offers, and why I left my last job. It felt like a waste of time and I'm not even sure why they contacted me.
- Are you actively looking for roles, and how far along are you in those processes? Do you have any offers?
- Why did you leave your previous job?
