Support Analyst
So a recruiter from a staffing agency hit me up about this Support Analyst gig. First, I had to do this Hirevue thing, which I thought I aced. Then, the head of the team was supposed to interview me. The recruiter told me they were super impressed and wanted me to interview for a permanent, higher-level role with better pay. I went to that interview, and the guy basically said I was a good fit, but he couldn't train me and wanted someone with more experience for the entry-level job. He said he'd have the original interviewer continue with the first position. They told my recruiter they'd get back to him, and then... nothing. Ghosted. Super unprofessional, totally wasted my time.
- Can you describe a challenge you encountered and its outcome?
- Could you give me an overview of your experience?
Software Engineer
There were 3 rounds in total. First was an aptitude test which took about 15 mins and had 50 questions. Second was an HR screening that focused on behavioral questions. The third round was a technical screening with a group of 3 people. No algorithmic coding questions were asked, but there were many questions on full-stack development, though they weren't too difficult.
- Questions ranging from Basic Html/Css to SQL queries
- Questions asked on entire full stack pipeline
- Html questions
DevOps Engineer
I got a phone interview scheduled via email. The recruiter called, and during the call, she seemed a bit unprepared as she had to pause to find out which role I was interviewing for. It felt like she wasn't ready. What felt even worse was that while I was answering a behavioral question, she yawned a few times, which gave me a negative impression. She might have thought I didn't notice, but I did and just stayed quiet. Maybe the recruiter was just tired. Anyway, I haven't experienced interviews like this before.
- Can you describe your past experiences?
- Tell me about a mistake you made and how you dealt with it.
Systems Engineer
Had an initial phone screen with the HR recruiter. Following that, I completed a behavioral quiz and then had a phone interview with the hiring manager. I was informed I'd hear back within about a week regarding the next steps after the recruiter and hiring manager discussed my notes. However, I never received any updates after that week. My subsequent inquiries the following week also went unanswered. Eventually, I let them know I'd withdraw my application if I didn't get a response to my inquiry. Once again, no one from the company responded.
- Tell me about your working experience and the technologies you've used.
