Nurse Practitioner
the interview process was pretty simple and set up well. it kicked off with a recruiter chat, then there was a short clinical interview about assessments and documentation. they laid out what to expect for scheduling, how far out they send people, and the onboarding stuff before we even got to talking about the offer.
- What's your approach to managing a patient with several chronic conditions during a home visit?
- Can you walk me through how you'd conduct a full assessment for a patient presenting with multiple chronic conditions?
- What's your method for reviewing a patient's medication list, especially when they have multiple chronic conditions?
Software Engineer
So I'm applying for a data science job here, and there were quite a few steps. It kicked off with a chat about my background and why I'm into this role. Then, I had to do this coding challenge to see how good I am with Python, stats, and messing around with data. After that, it was more about how I handle teamwork and problems, you know, the usual behavioral stuff. They also threw in a case study where I had to look at some data and pretend I was pitching my findings to important people. The last part was the toughest—I met with a bunch of the team and had to explain how I'd actually help them out with their projects.
- Can you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?
Family Nurse Practitioner
First I talked to a recruiter from a third party. Honestly, this part felt like a waste of time because I ended up having to answer all the same questions again with the actual Matrix recruiter. If you can, I'd suggest trying to go straight to Matrix. The second interview was with the Matrix recruiter and it got more into the specifics. It was more like standard interview questions: think strengths, weaknesses, dealing with conflict, going the extra mile, and your thoughts on traveling to patient homes. This one was about 30 minutes. The third interview was with a clinical lead, Carol. She was upfront about potential slow periods for work, which I appreciated. She started by asking me the questions she had and then asked about my background and if I had experience as an NP managing patients with complex conditions like CHF and DM2. I was expecting some clinical questions, but she didn't ask any. This interview was around 20-30 minutes. I still have to do a bunch of paperwork, a background check, and a drug screen. It's a bit of a pain because they don't use CAQH, so I have to submit everything again to the Matrix-specific site.
- Be ready for typical interview questions. What do you know about Matrix?
- Why are you interested in doing home assessments?
- What are your thoughts on per diem work?
Member Relationship Coordinator
It took about 2 weeks for the actual interview process, with the hiring class starting 2 weeks after that. I got an initial phone call, and then a few days later they set up a skills test and an in-person interview. The in-person was a group discussion that lasted over 2 hours because there were so many people, but I got an offer right at the end. They then sent an email with the offer letter to sign and return, and also asked for a drug test.
