First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Matrix-IFS.
Business Systems Analyst
It was a two-round interview process, and both rounds were technical. For a BA/DA role focused on Power BI, Oracle, and Big Data, the interviews usually cover SQL/Oracle queries, data modeling, Power BI dashboard scenarios, Big Data concepts, problem-solving, and behavioral questions.
- Can you describe your experience with reporting using the PowerBI tool?
Systems Administrator
Had one interview where they asked technical questions about IT systems in an enterprise environment and how to resolve issues. Also asked questions about managing a project. They asked a few questions about me to see that I’m a normative person.
- What's your approach to handling an issue?
- How do you deal with IT systems problems in a business setting?
- Can you tell me about your project management experience?
Solutions Engineer
There were 4 rounds in total. Two rounds were tests, one was a face-to-face interview, and one was a real-life exercise. Three rounds were mainly to check my knowledge, and the final round was the hardest, depending on the interviewer. Overall, it was a bad experience for me, and the final interview felt unfair because the interviewer just kept asking questions one after another.
- Questions about databases and SQL were asked.
Senior Consultant
there was no HR involved, just a few simple SQL and financial knowledge questions. Then, I had some conversations with management and did another simple quiz. The company hires in Israel and then transfers to the US.
- How would you organize a flat file into a relational database structure?
- Could you answer some SQL questions?
- Can you demonstrate your financial knowledge?
