It started with a quick phone screen, then there were 4 interviews. First was a technical chat with the team leader, it was kinda short and easy. Then a much harder technical interview with an architect, tons of questions on programming, algo design, data structures, databases, and unix. After that, a short, casual chat with the R&D VP about myself, my goals, etc. The last interview with HR felt a bit rough, like they were looking for my weak spots. Got rejected about a week later.

So first, I talked to the team lead, and they asked a lot about my resume. Then, I had an interview with HR and did some computer analytics tests, which took around 2 hours. After that, I met with someone from the team to go over the work and tools I'd be using, and they grilled me with technical questions about what I'd learned. The last step was meeting with the VP, and then I waited to hear back, sometimes up to two weeks after each stage.

I spoke with the hiring manager for this ad-tech company. We discussed the job duties and then he asked me some skill-testing questions. It seems like they really want someone who knows scripting languages really well. The hiring manager was pretty serious but respectful and got right to the point with his questions. We ended up chatting about cars, which was cool.
