This was a total waste of time. If the interviewer doesn't think it's a good fit mid-interview, they shouldn't waste anyone's time. It's clear she just wanted more info for her database and didn't even bother to reply to my followup email. No respect for my time and effort.

A recruiter reached out to me about a PM position they were hiring for. We scheduled a first video chat. She was really nice and easy to talk to. She even made sure to follow up and answer more questions I had after we spoke.

I had a call or two with the recruiter to talk about jobs. They mostly do digital design stuff, but it didn't lead to anything. I'm not sure if they only contact people if they have an open role.

It was a very casual conversation with lots of room for you, the candidate, to ask questions. Just be yourself; they don't want scripted answers about what you can do for the company because they already know your background. They want to assess your soft skills: conversational ability, teamwork, and general likability. Be nice, positive, honest, engaging, ask good questions, and maybe even be funny.
