The interview process was straightforward and pleasant. They asked some basic questions, nothing too intense. I got a call back about a week later with a job offer. They also talked about what Mathematica values in research.

It wasn't that the interview was hard, per se. What WAS hard is that it was a series of many mini-interviews, each 20-30 min long. By the time we shared pleasantries, a bit about their projects, and the usual basic questions, there was scant time for me to actually discuss my past experience and qualifications. And this happened over and over. Sometimes I tried to shoe-horn myself in there, but it was a challenging interview format to really build rapport or share one's narrative beyond a sound byte or two. It was a bummer, and it was hours-long, including lunch.

It was a good experience overall. I spoke with the management team and felt really welcomed and comfortable. The interview was a decent length, and I was able to talk a lot about how much I wanted the job.
