I had a phone call pre-interview, then a video call with the hiring manager and a colleague. After that, I completed a take-home project. Finally, I had a phone interview with a director and then another phone interview with the CEO.

This was supposed to be a typical interview process, but the recruiter was really unorganized and didn't follow through on anything. She said she'd email over important info but never did. The hiring manager was nice enough and mentioned the recruiter would follow up, but again, nothing happened. It felt like a waste of my time.

So I interviewed with this company, and while I was initially super excited to join them, that feeling pretty much vanished after the interview. It was a 30-minute session with one interviewer. Right off the bat, she didn't even have her camera on when we started, which made it seem like she wasn't really prepared. On top of that, her questions felt like she hadn't prepared for the interview at all, especially not for a tech role. My overall take is that this department is really disorganized. It also feels like they're looking for people who will just agree to anything and are willing to work around the clock, no weekends included.

I applied in December and was asked for my availability on Calendly, but then I heard nothing back after the specified days passed. I submitted new dates and was confirmed for an interview about a week later. The recruiter canceled the day of the interview. We rescheduled, but the recruiter never called. I reached out and received an apology, and we rescheduled again. When they finally called, I was blindsided by a new hire on the recruiting team who was joining for "training purposes." The interview went well since I work in this industry, but it was unclear when they were looking to hire, as the recruiter's comments were conflicting. I was told he would be in touch in about a week and that I should call or email him if I had any questions. I sent a thank you email, called once, and sent two follow-up emails, only to be ghosted for almost 3 weeks. It was disgustingly unprofessional. I received the rejection email almost a month later. Overall, this was a very unprofessional, uncommunicative, and misleading experience. More than likely, they are not hiring for the role and are just wasting candidates' time so it looks like they are thriving and expanding on paper, but that's probably not the case.
