A recruiter reached out on LinkedIn for a Senior Software Engineer role with one of their major clients. After the recruiter explained the interview process, I was sent an initial coding challenge via HackerRank. I completed it but didn't hear back afterwards.

This felt more like an interrogation than an interview, lasting about 30 minutes. Honestly, even if they offered me the job, I wouldn't take it because of how badly I was treated. I spoke with two guys; one barely said anything, and the other just zeroed in on my weak spots. He kept pushing that I should have stayed at a previous job, one I left due to severe disorganization, suggesting I should have 'just stayed and tried to get promoted to help the company' if I really wanted a challenge. He clearly didn't grasp the situation I was in there, and it was pretty rude to say that. It's baffling how they expect to hire a recruiter with such a negative outlook. They didn't even try to understand me or what I could bring. I'm not even sure why they called me in for the interview. I definitely don't recommend this company.

Had a conference call with Matchpoint Management to talk about my experience. The next day, I had a conference call with the main client, a big Value Added Service provider, and we talked about my experience for about 25 minutes. The client then set up a third conference call with the end customer, where I would be based, on the third day. This third interview was with the end client to go over their needs, and the VSP was also on the call. It went really well, and I could tell the customer was interested in me and the skills they needed. About 30 minutes after that call, I got a call back from Matchpoint solutions and they said they wanted to make an offer. I accepted.

This was the worst interview I've ever had. It started with a WhatsApp call from HR, which was unexpected. They sent a PDF outlining the process, but it wasn't followed at all. The actual process involved a Hackerrank challenge, a live coding session, and a take-home assessment. Oddly, right after the first challenge, they asked for recommendations for the same position. If you pass these stages, you have a direct call with the manager. Initially, it was presented as a casual chat about experience and team fit. However, they later messaged that it would be a coding challenge focused on algorithms and data structures, so I prepared for that. But, it turned out to be a frontend challenge instead. I wouldn't recommend this company.
