First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mastronardi Produce.
Corporate Development Analyst
It was a very informal process, without any modeling tests or similar. They are looking for someone who is a strong cultural fit and also comfortable living in the Midwest. Knowledge of the agriculture industry is a big plus, and your background doesn't need to be extensive.

Business Manager
I found out about this company through LinkedIn and sent my info over. They called me and set up an interview. I got good directions to the place. I met with the interviewer one-on-one in his office. It was a really informative and helpful talk. The interviewer was smart and direct. After about an hour and a half, I left knowing what they wanted, where I might fit, and they said they'd call back after talking internally. A month or two later, they called me back for another interview. This time, it was a two-on-one in a conference room, and we had a great discussion. I left with a good idea of their hiring needs and my chances of getting a role created for me. I'm still in touch, so there's a possibility of getting hired later on. I really liked the process and how clearly and honestly they communicated.
- How would you approach managing a business?
Logistics Planner
The interview process was really open about everything; they brought in an HR specialist and two logistics planners who have been with the company for a long time (12+ years) and were super enthusiastic and passionate about their jobs. They laid out what they expect from everyone involved in the logistics process, both tactically and operationally. This was the first interview at their office, and I'm hoping to move on to the next stage, as this feels like a place I could see myself working for 20+ years.
- Can you share your most significant logistics achievement from the past six months?
Grower Liaison
The interview process was easy overall, with 3 interviews. The first was over the phone, the second online, and the last one also took place online. All of the interviews were easy-going and formative. It's a direct way to get hired.
- Could you tell me what you know about the industry?
- Do you know any growers in the area?
- What types of crops have you worked on previously?
