First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at MasterCorp.
Housekeeping Director
I had one interview where I met with the Regional Director and HR Director at the same time. They hit me with a bunch of questions that were pretty spot-on for the role. They were nice enough, but honestly, I'm not sure they knew much about the actual job.
- What are your strategies for motivating staff and maintaining their morale?
Recruiting Manager
The initial contact was via text message late at night, which seemed a bit unusual but turned out to be legitimate. Following that, there was a 45-minute phone interview with a friendly recruiter who was calling from a different state.
- Can you describe your experience and duties related to recruiting?
- What are your core responsibilities in a recruiting role?
Housekeeping Manager
The interview process here seems a bit unusual. Normally, a company would conduct phone interviews, then an in-person interview, followed by background and drug testing before making a job offer. However, Mastercorp appears to offer a position first, and then proceeds with the drug testing and background check. It almost feels like a mass hiring event.
- Are you open to working different shifts?
- Would you consider relocating for this position?
Rover
I had an interview with an employee who was about to retire. I think I got a good review from them. Then, someone named Scott, who wasn't very knowledgeable and seemed to need help with his own job at MasterCorp, was supposed to help me continue with the job.
