First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Massage Heights.
Lifestyle Consultant
It was a super easy and direct process. I got a call back quickly after sending in my resume. Then I had an interview with the franchise manager, and they offered me the job right after. Honestly, it was one of the simplest interviews I've ever been through.
- Can you share an instance where you experienced failure and describe how you managed to get past it?
Lifestyle Consultant
The interview was relaxed and conversational. It focused on my sales experience, previous customer service roles, and how comfortable I am engaging with guests. They mainly assessed my communication skills, my ability to upsell memberships, and my overall professionalism.
- Can you tell me how many memberships you've sold in a typical pay period?
Licensed Massage Therapist
The interview process was straightforward, as I'd expect from a franchise of this quality. I was the first to be acknowledged by the front desk, which struck me as odd since all walk-ins should be greeted immediately upon entry. The actual interview went on for too long, over an hour. The pay was fixed and not open to negotiation, even considering my extensive experience. Additionally, management appeared unconcerned about providing a timeline for callbacks, onboarding, or training. I found their final offer to be insulting and decided to turn it down.
- What is your capacity for performing massages consecutively?
Front Desk Receptionist
The hiring manager was late for my interview and didn't apologize. She told me about the job and asked some questions, and my experience seemed to fit. She said she'd set up a Zoom call with the owner and claimed she texted him. Since I said I wasn't busy, she asked if I could wait with her for about 5 minutes for the owner to text back. She also mentioned if he didn't, she'd schedule a Zoom call for 4 pm. I gave her my email to get the Zoom link, and she said she'd email it to me. I left, but I never got the link or any communication from her all day. If she didn't want to hire me, she could have just told me professionally instead of wasting my time.
- Can you describe your responsibilities in your previous role?
