I had this interview that involved a bunch of questions about people in drug court and what community help is out there for them. There were three people interviewing me, and they asked questions that were all written down beforehand, and they just took turns asking them.

I applied on the Mass Trial Court job website in December 2023. The hiring manager called me in February 2024 to schedule an in-person interview at their office. Three lawyers interviewed me, asking 3-5 questions each for about an hour. I usually feel comfortable in interviews and do well, but not this time. The questions were poorly worded, and I had to ask for clarification. Some questions were repeated by different interviewers, just worded differently. By the end, it was clear I wasn't a good fit.

Behavioral Presentation

The interview process involved a panel interview first, followed by a writing assignment, and then a final round of interviews. It felt like the person was already selected and they were just going through the motions. The Zoom panel interview happened before the writing sample. One panelist didn't even speak during the interview, which was not fun and seemed boring. The overall panel was unenthusiastic.

Behavioral Presentation

It was a panel of two people, doing a round robin style interview with upper management. It was in a conference room, very relaxing, not intimidating. They were very informative about the agency and office procedures. We did an office tour. They introduced me to the staff. They explained the duties for the position and what is expected of me.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • How would you manage a disagreement with a coworker?
