First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mass General Brigham Health Plan.
Medical Record Reviewer
I interviewed with the supervisor and manager. They asked me general basic questions about the job. It was an onsite position, so they asked if I had relevant experience.
- Can you tell me about your past experience that is relevant to this role?
Scrum Master
The whole process felt like it took forever and wasn't super clear at times. Like, after round three, I saw the job ad up again, which made me wonder what was happening. Also, I didn't get the details for the simulation until the day before, and only after I asked. It took about two months from the first HR chat to the last interview. In the end, they went with someone who had more experience at the company, which they could have told me earlier since it was on my resume. If they'd been upfront about that kind of thing, I could have figured out if it was a good fit sooner and saved everyone time.
- What's your approach to managing challenging stakeholders?
Claims Team Lead
I applied in May 2024. A recruiter called me in July 2024, after some vacations. The whole thing took about a month and a half after that first call. I met with the hiring managers, then two people on the team, and finally the director. I got an email saying I didn't get the job, and then they reposted it the very next day. It's wild that nobody they interviewed was right for it. Feels like the managers were clueless about what they needed.
- What's your approach to resolving disagreements between coworkers?
Finance
Interviewer was nice overall, but the manager interview was a bit weird. He asked for my SAT score since he said "everyone remembers that." I also had to demonstrate writing an Excel formula, which was a reasonable request. But I think he was mainly trying to see how much he could throw me off with unexpected questions.
- Could you share your SAT score?
- Demonstrate how to write an Excel formula.
