First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mason Companies.
Analyst
It was a pretty easy and straightforward interview process. I had two interviews, one was an online interview and the other was in person. They were very friendly and asked reasonable questions. You can expect questions that assess your technical ability.
- Could you describe the development lifecycle?
Copywriter
after my initial application was sent out, there were two video call interviews, one with the head of the department and one with the people who were to be my direct supervisors.
- How do you manage your time and stay organized when working on many projects simultaneously?

HR emailed back pretty fast after I applied and we set up an interview at their Chippewa Falls office. I first chatted with the department lead, then the HR manager I'd been emailing with. Pretty standard stuff was asked. It was a good experience overall, but I waited a really long time for updates. They said they'd contact my references a few days after the interview and told me to let them know Mason Companies would be calling, but my reference said that never happened. I didn't get many other updates until over a month later when HR asked if I was still interested and if I could tell my references they'd NOW be calling them. By then, I had already decided to look elsewhere.
- Can you describe a time you had a conflict with a coworker and how you handled it, or how you would handle it?
Internet Marketing Specialist
I first connected with HR to schedule an interview. On the day of the interview, I had two parts: one with the HR person and then another with the manager I would report to. Both conversations felt very natural and relaxed, like I was just chatting with them. About two weeks later, I received a call about a background check (they might have checked my references too, I'm not sure) and then I was offered the job.
