Software Developer
So the software developer interview process, it's got a bunch of stages to see if you're a good fit. You'll do a phone screen first, then some tech tests, coding stuff, and system design, plus behavioral questions. This helps us figure out how you solve problems, how good you are technically, and if you'll vibe with the team.
- Can you tell me a little about yourself?
Communications Manager
Went through several interviews plus a written assignment. The assignment to rebrand their whole organization took me the whole weekend. Presented the assignment virtually to the hiring manager but didn't get any response or feedback. They just sent a generic letter saying I was no longer being considered. They said during the interview they treat staff like "family," but that's not true. Their C- BBB rating also shows how they treat customers. I'd steer clear of this company.

Internal Auditor
The company is good at finding and keeping employees, which says a lot about their culture. I first spoke with a recruiter who then connected me with the Department Manager for an initial phone chat. After that, I was set up for an interview. Before coming in, I had to do an assessment. The whole interview day was about 5 hours. It started with a round table where they went through my resume with the whole interview team. Then, I did a computer assessment on-site. Following the assessment, there were three interview rounds. One of these rounds included lunch. The very last part was a writing assessment.
- Can you describe the specific audit risks and procedures relevant to this position?
- Could you share an instance where a project was successful and explain how you managed it?
Associate
My experience with Masco overall was good. The first step was a standard phone call with a recruiter, asking behavioral questions. If you pass, you get invited to an on-site interview. They cover travel and take you out to dinner the night before. The next day starts with breakfast and a presentation. Then you go into a room and are interviewed one on one multiple times. After that, you are assigned a group to work together and present your ideas on a case study. That was pretty much it, but overall it was a good experience.
- Tell me about yourself and your experiences.
- Why are you interested in this role?
- Describe a time you faced a challenge and how you overcame it.
