& Process

The interview process was pretty fast and straightforward over the phone. We chatted about my college experiences that seemed relevant to the job, and as far as I remember, they offered me the position pretty quickly.

The interview with the Communications Dept. went well initially, with different team members. However, I was left on hold for an extended period afterward. Ultimately, I received no follow-up or response regarding the outcome. This happened over a year ago. When a quality in-person interview is conducted, candidates expect a clear response, whether it's a letter, call, or email, not a dismissive approach of leaving them waiting indefinitely without communication. It's disrespectful of people's time and effort, especially when they've traveled for the interview with no valid reason. The experience felt unprofessional and discourteous.

So my interview experience was actually pretty decent. First, I chatted with my long-term supervisor, who's a really experienced person. After that, I had to talk to the Department Manager. Honestly, she was super unprofessional. She barely looked up from her work, like I was bothering her, and was really cold and distant. I was floored when I asked about opportunities for growth and she just said 'none'. It felt like there was no room for some people, but plenty for others. I took the job because I needed it, but these were some of the most unprofessional people I've ever worked with.

It was a behavioral interview process. They asked questions to see how I respond. There was no on-the-spot performance of skills required, and I did not have to take a computer test. Overall, it was straightforward and to the point.
