Behavioral Technical Case

The interview process involved three rounds. The first was a 45-minute call with the hiring manager to go over my resume, experience, and projects, which went well. The next two interviews, on a different day with team members, also lasted about 45 minutes each and focused on work style and behavioral aspects, along with logistical details like commuting. However, the team interviews weren't as great. One person seemed unprepared and asked random questions, unable to explain the team structure. The other interviewer was late, rushed, kept cutting me off, and brought up team issues like employees leaving due to return-to-office policies, then asked how I'd feel about it. Despite learning more about the role, the team interviews felt off and tense, leaving me unsure about the team dynamics and culture. This experience helped me realize it might not be the right fit. I also noticed everyone, including the recruiter and hiring manager, shared the same East Asian ethnicity, which made me feel there might have been an unspoken cultural disconnect or bias affecting the conversations, making the interviews feel uncomfortable and less inclusive.

Behavioral

This interview felt a bit rushed since the interviewer was driving during our chat. They also seemed to not have reviewed my resume beforehand. Even though I have relevant experience as a planner from a downstream company, they were fixated on hiring someone with direct semiconductor manufacturing experience. If you are applying, make sure to highlight your hands-on semiconductor manufacturing experience because that seems to be their top priority, regardless of its supply chain relevance.

The interview process was pretty standard, no unexpected twists. They asked questions about Marvell, drew from my past experience, and posed behavioral and scenario-based questions. They also inquired about my knowledge of the Semiconductor supply chain, my current college coursework in Supply Chain Management, and my Excel proficiency.
