Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Martinsburg College.
Admissions Representative
It was a super fast process! They do virtual interviews and it's a three round process. You'll meet with your direct manager, then executive managers, and then the Associate Director of Admissions. First, there's a phone screening. If you pass that, you'll move on to virtual panel interviews.
- Are you a sales-driven individual?
Admissions Outreach Coordinator
It was a multi-stage interview process. I had to send in a social media video introducing myself and also create some social media posts. The interviewer was super nice and I really liked her! I felt comfortable asking any questions I had. She was really professional and understanding, explained the job thoroughly, and got back to me fast!
- Send a video introducing yourself!
Admissions Outreach Coordinator
The first step was a super quick 5-minute chat about the job basics, like pay, hours, and what they expect. After that, they sent more info via email, and I had to respond with times I could do a video call with the manager.
- Can you confirm your availability?
- What are your location preferences?
- What are you looking for in this position?
Admissions Representative
Once your application is reviewed, we'll give you a call to set up an interview. All interviews happen over webcam. I suggest business professional attire, maybe a blazer. Also, do a little digging on the college website to get a feel for the 'product knowledge.'
- Can you sell me something that's in the room?
